Hi, I’m Wendy Pyne
Founder of Protegro, financial planner, mom, and occasional basement-flood survivor.
I started this firm with a simple belief: financial planning should feel like a conversation, not a lecture.
After more than 20 years in the financial services industry, I’ve seen how easily financial stress can creep in, especially during major life transitions like divorce, loss, or retirement. My mission is to help you take control of your money, protect your future, and move forward with confidence.
At Protegro (Latin for to protect), we don’t use one-size-fits-all formulas. Every plan we create is as personal as the life it supports. We’ll talk about your goals, values, and lifestyle, and build a strategy that truly fits you.

Wendy Pyne is an Investment Advisor Representative with Protegro, Inc., a registered investment advisor based in Massachusetts. With over 20 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, Wendy helps clients navigate everything from debt and retirement to risk management and legacy planning — always with clarity, flexibility, and a deep understanding that life rarely goes exactly according to plan.
She’s known for her clear, compassionate guidance and practical, real-life approach to money. Whether you're a self-employed professional, a busy parent, or preparing for your next chapter, Wendy helps you build strategies that adapt as your life does — with confidence, not confusion.
Wendy also serves as the Managing Director of the MetroWest, MA chapter of Polka Dot Powerhouse, a dynamic international women’s connection group focused on fostering community, collaboration, and growth for women in business and life. She’s passionate about creating spaces where women support and uplift one another — both financially and personally.
When she’s not meeting with clients or leading local events, Wendy is usually wrangling her spirited household of kids, cats, an indoor free-range rabbit, and chickens (not necessarily in that order). She loves hiking, traveling, and finding joy in life’s little curveballs — financial and otherwise.
